Happy Birthday EAO...

As many of you know the Phoenix named EAO its now one year old, and this thread is to celebrate that birthdate... For those who don't know (recent members), the Old Anime Online was deleted by a stupid host without warning and the community lost thousands of posts and images and the site was down for a couple months...

But on October 29 2004, the previous site owner (SpiderWeb) re-launched the site from scratch without any previous code or database from the old site (A back-up of the community was established on AnimeTalk, but it went RIP a few months later). Since that day the comunity had been rebuilt little by little and altought not the same it is agreat place to be an post... I call it Phoenix because the community was reborn from its ashes to a better place...

uhm it was always EAO from the day I merged it with ewdi, and we didn't "rebirth" but we wiped out the DB because it was too mucked up. Only reason we lost everything was because Ewdi had it backed up and we didn't want to reuse any of it because of the fact it would still be messed up. So we started from scratch. You dont really call what is essentially a hard drive reformat a birthday. More like spring cleaning

EAO's birthday is in June btw, the new name turned 3 while the forum community turned 6
