Oh please I have mostly all the manga and the DVD's all I need is Vol. 3 to complete my collection of the anime.
This may sound boring, but its an anime about otaku. It's actually quite good. Its about guys in college who are in a club called " the study of visual arts" its basically full of otaku. They go every where from Anime conventions, video game tournaments, cos-plays, that kind of thing. Its a pretty good comedy. Has anybody checked it out?

How good is it, and what genre is it? Kind of a Love Hina weird romance? Or a slow paced anime? Etc.
it would be comedy for the most part. I love this anime got it right here on my deskit aint going nowhere every now and then when i'm bored i'll give it a watch. i'm sure you can identify some characteristics of your self or your friends from that anime. thats why everyone always ends up loving genshiken.

Genshiken is probably one of the best mangas I've read in a long time. It's catchy, has good humor, and has to deal with issues that I can relate to. Like death_knight said, you can identify characteristics of yourself and your anime-fan friends. It's no exception in my case. I resemble one of the characters, and I have 2 friends that resemble other characters in the story.
So, if you are unsure about getting this series, worry no more. This one is definitely worth a buy.
