I'm not too technically savvy, but I know Windows Media player can rip songs. I'm not sure about the whole video, though.

ok, so much for no more problems...i can find the .avi codec for windows media player...tried to download winamp to get it...that didn't work, and i searched through the windows codec sites, and now im frustrated...![]()

Windows Media Player 10 has built in .AVI support........? If you aren't running that then upgrade, if you are running that then.
Go to tools > options and then the File Types tab.
Ensure that .AVI is checked.
This only makes WMP the default program to play this type of file which may or may not help.
