I don't think there really is anthing. Sometimes when I close all other program it speed up, but not much. I usually only download one epsiode of something at a time so I can watch it while I'm waiting for the next one.
Currently I'm downloading AIR. I'm downloading all the available episodes, I know, but 20 hours it still a while to wait. In any case, is there anything I can do to boost the download speed (or the upload speed).

bittorrent is crap download limewire at REMOVED you can download anything music,videos,anime,videogames anything
plus its way faster i would say 10minutes to onehour
Have more patience is the key. You need other people who can seed it for you.
I have limewire. Usually when I ask for anime, though, it gives me porn. And Mage, you were right. I guess I had alot of crap opened up. The download of fourteen episodes of 'Air' whent from a day, to fourteen hours, but then actually only took three hours. And I went to sleep while in downloaded.

Well if you want your bittorrent to speed up you have to open 18 ports with this bittorrent port # 6881. 9 TCP ports starting from 6881 to 6889 and 9 UDP ports starting from 6881 to 6889.
CLosing before the advertisments get out of hand.
