Listen to da Japanese.
Dub it!
I read the subtitles
I just listen to the japanese
Since I'm assuming most of us here speak English as a first language, and most Anime's are produced in Japanese
What are your opinions on subtitles and dubbing?
I know for me...I have a few DVDs that are dubbed, and I really don't notice a loss of quality when viewing them, I feel sometimes though that when it's dubbed horribly........well.
So far I've yet to watch a complete anime in subtitles, I can't appreciate the artwork when I have to read something...I feel like I'm reading a book on TV, not watching an anime.
What are your thoughts?
Listen to da Japanese.
I usually watch the english version of an anime then watch the subtitled version which usually ends in me kicking myself for not learning japanese which i am always angry about![]()

92% of teens moved to rap. if u are part of the 8% that rock out every day, put this on your sig!!!!
it depends mostly on the quality
I enjoy good dubbing, but if they do a crappy job like One Piece
than I'd rather watch the original with subs
some of the best dubbing that I've noticed would have to go to GITS:SAC and FmA
there's plenty more out there, but those are the ones that just come to mind
it depends.... if the doubling is good, u know....
Thank you SasuraiHell for making my sig. ur the best."I came, I saw, I conquered" - Julious Cesar
i like reading subtitles, mostly because i have no clue what "dubbing" is...and it means i can download so i don't have to wait years for the naruto anime to get to the good parts

If the dubbing is done properly...I would prefer watching it without the subtitles. Since I do understand and speak the common everyday Japanese Language...I am ok seeing it with the subtitles. I just read the subtitles if I don't understand a particular sentence or words...
I credit my great friend Haruki for teaching me all of Japanese words and such, but he can speak my language fluently than he does Japanese...so it is very funny.
I don't mind dubs if they are done well ... a good example being Yukikaze ... but in general, I find english dubs lacking ....
