an Idea.

I was talking to trunks last night and thought of this. What if we had some "Speical" members lets call them ether Elite members or something to that effect? This group would help out with the gallery. They would be able to move, delete and help Moderate images posted in the gallery. Less work for the mods to do with them modding the forum and all.

Things this group should have:

-Special whos online underline maybe

-Access to the gallery Mod CP.

-Access to the staff forum so they can report stuff to us without having to PM someone.

that would be about it..

I have noticed OracalAngel and Osiris are becoming active again on the board. Maybe we can talk them into helping out in the gallery?

I remember OA used to be a Gallery mod back in the day, but i'm not sure if he was interested in helping out around there again. Osiris is staff over at MT and does a rather good job of it, so he should do quite well as a Gallery mod, have to figure out if either of them want to actually do it, though.

I think it's a bad idea to have "special" members. That will create jelousy (sp) amoung the members and people wanting to be one. It's better to put them as a mod of one section like the gallery, and no title difference between a regular mod.

yes having any kind of "special" group creates a world of junk I dont want to deal with again. People find out about it and when they do you have a split right down the middle, you get back to people argueing over how long they've been here, what they've contributed and everything else. We dont need that kind of favoritism and it also just leads to people kissing our @$$es trying to get on "the list"


As for oracle I dont know about that I dont remember if it was them or the other person who basically never did anything when they were supposed to mod the gallery.

I don't think either of the gallery mods we had (OracleAngel or Jinzhou) did anything constructive for us. Half the time they were breaking the rules they were supposed to enforce (especially Oracle).

Well, as for special members, I had to go ahead and agree with everyone else. Using that term would just cause issues. Instead what I had originally considered, was finding some decent candidates (rather rare these days) to add on as Gallery Moderators like we had before. Now that you mention about OA and Jinzhou, you're right, they never really did do a bang up job at being Gallery Mods. I think part of the problem there started when Ewdi gave them mod rights over EVERYTHING when techincally they were supposed to only mod one area. If we do decide to hire more Gallery only Moderators, we should find some people that will actually do the job.
