insight on Japan please, anyone?
For those who have seen me before and havn't figured it out by now, I'm in the US Navy. On 3JAN06, I report to the USS Chancelorville which is *whoops for joy!* homeported in Yokosuka, Japan on Honshu.
Sooooo, what I wanna know is, since we do have people on the forum in Japan right now, what's the place like? And what's cool to do/see around there. I know I could probly go to some stupid travel site, but the good stuff comes from those who've been there.
So SPIT IT OUT! I just so happen to report on my 20th birthday, so I need to know where to party!

Re: insight on Japan please, anyone?
if i were you, i would just walk around the place youre in first. see the sites nearby. im sure you can find lots of cool stuff. little old shops and ramen stands are the best.

Even though I'm not from nor have I been to Japan, I would assume that asraiwaters' suggestion is the best one. It's always best to familiarize yourself with the people and the area you're directly in first.

Well, Sence 20 is the age for drinking there, I am sure you can go find some places. As for specific ones, no idea never been there.

Heh... The most in-depth insight into this whole thing that's been given is "Wander around".
I hear there's an arcade of JUST DDR... That would be awesome, as long as you enjoy DDR. It would be the first place I seek out. :thumb:
