Re: It's Frances fault! ;)
I believe this is just one of the many rumors that have been made to hide the fact that Bush's administration didn't have enough proves to invade Irak. It is just how politics work.
Re: It's Frances fault! ;)
you are totally mistaken, Kartaro.
I had a conversation with a good friend (and anti-bush supporter) from Greece right after the whole 'state of the union' speech happened. We had a long talk and he down right told me that the information came strait from France to Britton, to The U.S. This was long before it ever became a politcal storm so I know that the Bush Administration is not making this up.
As we have pointed out, the burdan of proof of WMD's was not the U.S.'s to prove, but Sadam's to disprove.

so now we have to blame France for giving us false info on nuclear weapon in Iraq, but i still think that bush knew that before he got the info from France, he just wanted to finish what his father didn't want to finish (invade Iraq).
Re: It's Frances fault! ;)
For the love of Pete, ketaro, learn to spell Iraq!
It becomes a burden to have to follow your every post and edit "Irak" to be "Iraq". :D
Oh, as for France... well, if they were getting 'gifts' from Saddam, then that explains why they were so eager to slap us around for making war, and not peace. Stupid French hippies!

So let me understand you.
The US recieves intelligence from Britian who gets it from France (who got at least some of it from Italy). Some of that intelligence turns out to be forged. You believe that the President of the US (Pres. Bush) knew that it was forged but that France, the ones the US got it from, didn't.
Does that cover it?
Re: It's Frances fault! ;)
I still think they are just trying to justify an invasion ..... at the end they did not find enough evidence about the nuclear, chemic or bacteriologic threat
Re: It's Frances fault! ;)
Speculation is a fool's game.
I have a hard time believing any of what any government says. Not to say that I don't ever believe what is said, however. When it comes to stuff like this, I'll simply claim ignorance to the facts.
