I said something about persocoms but it was on a different post that was closed because it was a copy of this thread... Anyway, what i had said before was that technology has come so far and still has so far yet to go. This is where we could actually go and build an actual persocom (or similar item)... But this is also the defining moment where the question is no longer "can we?", but when we should pause and think "should we?"

It's still too early for paranoia. Like Delerium said, we just have to wait and see how technology grows within the next few years or so. However, I might sound stupid, but I agree on the whole "matrix" conspiracy. You'd think after all the movies (like I-robot), we'd limit the technology in robotics, but it doesn't seem that's the case. Maybe in 40 years they will have fully-functional andriods or cyborgs running around, let's hope that's not the case.
