Thread: Japanese horror movies

I am a huge fan of Japanese horror movies. But, that doesn't mean that I don't like American horror movies. Both are good, even the horror movies of other countries. My favorite Japanese horror movies are the same as yours: Dark Water and Ju-on. Ju-on and the grudge are the same, right? I cannot remember.

I like the movie the Grudge, i heard that it was hall scary but it wasn't.

i like japanese horror movies somewhat... my favourites are ringu and ju-on, even though they weren't scary at all in my opinion. i don't really like american horror either, tho. my favourite horror movies are korean and thai!

all that American (and Western) horror movies are good for is being nice and gory
Japenese horror movies aren't as scary or gory, but they got a nice story

Ju-on is the Japanese version and the grudge is the American version both of which i enjoyed very much

i've heard that "the ring" japanese movie is scary as hell but never seen it (in japanese)
