If you guys are still bitter over the Anime wallpaper section getting deleted, GET OVER IT. Seriously. I did, and I took a big hit (I lost 3 quarters of my gallery, I had a 180 submissions back then, do the math. Its taken me 2 years. TWO YEARS, to get back to that point.). Honestly, its old news. As for them being 'wallpaper nazi's', they got contacted by anime studio's and were asked for the wallpapers to be removed under United States Copyright law, Just like the MPAA is going after torrent sites, to protect intellectual property. I'm sure if they were to do the same thing to AO (God forbid) Gig would be forced to do the same thing here, or face legal action.

That it did, if it wasn't for DeviantART, I don't think that alot of artists would be where they are today (Anime Wallpaper Artists included). dA got me to broaden my artistic views, I don't comment badly on a piece of art just cause "It doesn't suit my tastes", I look at the bigger picture, got me into writing (Ok, my Grade 10 english teacher had something to do with that), got me into drawing (Although, my skills are bit rusty).

I just hope this all works out for the best.

That sucks. A friend of mine really like that site. I hope it doesnt go under by making the community mad.
But there will probably be another waiting in the wings to take uup the slack.

Even after reading all of this I'm still really confused by the whole issue. I mean did the DAInc. holder get rid of Jark for legal matters? And if so what in the heck could he have done that was so bad that they fired him from a job that he has had long before they came around? O_o Very confusing issue.

Now on the other hand people complaining about the wallpaper nazing and such there are other places you can go other than DA. I mean yea maybe it's not as big, but that is a good thing in a way seeing that with DA you honestly have to be in the 1,000's of page views to really get noticed as is. Now a good place that's like DA is www.sheezyart.com it's made by people who wanted people to be able to post freely and such. The only can't do's there are like porn, stealing, and the such like that but you can post up graphics of any kind with anime images in them. (Edit: SA is in the process of server work atm I do believe so they'll prolly be down and out for a few days.)
