Yes.

Otaku is just a japanese term that means someone who's really into anime and manga.

I mean REALLY into it, like no social life or anything outside of those pictures on the screen and book. That's about all it is though. More of an insult in Japan, but we don't really consider it one.

As far as the Title goes, 'Otaku' is the first of a sequence of different titles you'll have until you reach Community Status (at 500 posts) where you gain the option of a User modifiable custom title...

As well as view the gallery, when you reach community member status.

"Otaku" refers to someone who has an obssessive hobby....so if someone was to refer to u as an "anime otaku" that means u are someone who is obssessed with anime....well, at least that's the meaning i got from genshiken...
