what are u talking about who cares if they have indian names
Hello Everyone,
My name is Kedar Reddy and I am a new member here. I am an Anime fan and I really like the art form. I have some questions to ask about Anime if don't mind. In some of the Anime or Manga that I watched, some female characters have a jewel or some sacred powder(mark) on their forehead, can you tell what the artist is trying to convey about the character by putting the sacred dot on their forehead? Recently I also read some Anime books which had Indian names as their title, such as Rig veda and The Avatar. One final question: can we use the art of Anime or Manga to create an Indian character (as in Asian Indian)? I will really appreciate your help.
Thanking you.
Your friendly,
kedar reddy.

Well Buddhism originated from India, and is a prominate religion in Japan.
Aspects of Indian culture have influence a bit in Japanese culture, it's really fun to research it all yourself. Try google mate.

hmmm, this is a tough one. The avatar isn't an anime though... Usualt the characters are based on what the artist likes so u can tell if an artist is part buddist if they like to show indian characters and names, etc. Some have a mark on their forehead as i have also noticed... thus again an artistic preferrence but in the most part i think sometimes it deal with what type of story their telling as well.
i hope i helped.... but im not to good on japanese hertiage and culture.
