Thread: Lancelot

I'm in peril,
and my lady nowhere to be found.
I've lost her,
and wish to stake thyself,
with the dagger's blade.
I hear a scream,
and it's my lady.
She is in peril,
and I cannot be there to save her!
She's dangling from the ledge,
near our home.
A 30 foot drop to the river below.
"Hold On!!!"
I cry as I try to get to her,
but I cannot as she is,
on the far part of the ledge.
"I'M LOSING MY GRIP!!!"
She cries at the top of her lungs.
I can't get to her,
and she begins to slip.
NO!!!!!
In the corner of my eye,
I see a glimmer of Light.
A flash of white light,
in the form of an armored knight,
and a white steed,
blaze past me.
He grabs hold of a branch on the way,
and stops near my lady.
"Grab hold!!"
She reaches but slips.
He leaps to the ground,
and catches her,
before slowly pulling her up.
"You saved my life...
Thank You!"
The brave knight reviels his face,
just as I reach him.
"Kind sir.... thank you!
You have saved my love.
May I ask of your name?"
The knight smlies and replies,
"It was my duty,
and just call me.... Lancelot!"
He then turns and rides off,
towards the horizon,
to go back to his castle and king.
Tonight my love and I,
have many thanks to give.
This Lancelot has saved us.
Thanks to him for saving my love,
and my happiness.
Thank You Lancelot.
