layers are for adding brushes or doing anything else to add to your sig I mean you could try to di it all on one layer but that wouldn't work out very well, if you are looking for a good sig you should have 8+ layers

10 layers....wow thats.. a bit much i must say press CTRL E to merge layers so u can cut down on the space ^_^
oh very good comment naruto ya you can try to merge layers so they can be on 1 but hey what ever works for you
