"I let all that kind of blood away" Thanks Viper
Just some corrections. ^^Originally Posted by Negami
Just so you understand the meaning of anata ha nannensei desu ka better, nan-nen means "what year" and sei is student (seito). I think more detailed explanations of each phrase are necessary to help those learning, or they'll just go out spouting phrases and not knowing how to answer.
And it should be hajimemashite, watashi ha ... desu. Your name should come before the "desu". The "watashi ha" isn't really necessary, you could just go "Marina desu" and it'd be fully understandable that you are a person whose name is Marina.![]()
Pronounciation
A- ah
E- eh
I- EE
O- O
U- oo
I am tired, so I didn't go into all of the details. Sorry. Thank you for the corrections. And, I understand the meaning of all the phrases that I mentioned because I am Japanese. Sorry, again.Originally Posted by blue_rebel
Ah, here's where wave files are required.
"E" is pronounced like the "a" in "addict". ^_^ "O" is pronounced like the "au" in "aura". And "U"... erm, this is a tough one. I'll go scout for a good wave file of that. It's a very subtle "U", sounds like a cross between "oo" and "uh".
@ Negami : Cool. XD I wasn't really referring to you, though, I meant the people who are reading the phrases. It's best to let them know what each word means (if possible) so they really know what they're talking about. It helps a lot with forming their own sentences later. ^^
