River Raid for the Atari was by far the longest (or endless) game I can remember. We needed at least two or more people to play, because before we knew it we were either fed up, or needed to drain the snake.
With all the grief invloved, I still don't remember finishing it. :S

its le longes game i have played......
there r too many things to do.....
at the begining its al fun with shooting people and steeling cars, but al the end it gets kind of boring......
I had to play some missions several times before y could pass them that was kind of frustrating.....
but in the end i passed it....
I have over 200 hours raked in for FFX, most of which are blitzball.
I've never beaten Gauntlet 2, or Rampage. Those are loooooong games considering there is no save.
Other honorable mentions are: Vice City, Jagged Alliance 2, and FFVIII.
I forgot about Rampage. That is definately an endurance game. Me and my friend beat it in one night though. Hard to do without proper free time. The latest Gauntlet games are fairly lengthy, but pretty easy to beat.
I haven't played a lot of games, but from what I have played, The Legend Of the Dragoon was the longest.
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness = 240+ hours (and I didnt do all the sidequests)
yes....it woyld seem that most Nippon Ichi Software (N.I.S. America) games are pretty damn longphantom brave (as seen in first post) took over 130 hours for me to beat

I think that my first time through FFVII it took me only 30 some hours...but when I replayed, doing all the side quests, I'd say I totaled close to 60...but that's nothing compared to Xenogears, which I have 80+ hours in, and I still haven't beat it...I got stuck a lot, and then I just gave up. I'm close to the end, so I'd say that if I ever beat it, I'll probably top out at 100+ hours.
And I remember now, at the top of my lungs in my arms, she dies, she dies.
