Maaya Sakamoto Maaya Sakamoto, the vocalist, has one of the most unique voices I've heard in anime. She's done themse for Outlawstar, Escaflowne (TV series), Bebop, and Wolf's Rain. (Mostly songs written and composed by Yoko Kano)
Her voice is delicate, and yet strong at the same moment. I especially grew fond of Gravity, the ending theme to Wolf's Rain.
Does anyone have any thoughts?

That was someone else (both theme songs and main characters) in Outlaw Star. And you forgot one of her major roles as Reika Mishima in 'RahXephon' (where she also does the opening theme... 'Hemispheres'...)
