What kind of movie is it. Romance, Scifi....?
Though the film was on very limited release, I wonder if anyone else here at the site has seen it before? Me and a friend caught it last October and the dvd will be coming out very soon. It's a horror/drama about a man (Christian Bale) who hasn't slept in over a year and is quickly loosing his grip on reality. He works like a drone at a machine factory and begins having odd and grimm visions that plague him throughout the film. For those who haven't seen it then that's all i'll say on the plot, i don't wanna ruin it. It's a really good film and i definately recommend it. Christian Bale lost 64 pounds for this role and the results on screen are eerie and effective. He's literally skin and bones and it compliments the oddness of the film quite well. Check it out if you liked films like Jacob's Ladder or Fight Club.

That should answer your question. Good job actually reading the paragraph. It's a horror/drama
Since I loved both "Jacob's Ladder" and "Fight Club" I'm sure that I'll enjoy this movie. I'll pick it up sometime.
Too cool for a sig.
yeah I read about this one and was really interested, I need to rent it, I remember how the team behind batman begins met him while he was filming this and they said they freaked cause he was so withered looking and they didn't think he could do the role. But he said he'd be bulked up in time for batman, talk about dedication to your craft and really getting into a role o_O

It's a tad bit more well known in Europe.Originally Posted by narrator
Not a bad film, Bale is really good in it.
And about the weight, shortly after The Machinist he had to gain weight again for the role of Batman, so he really started to put on the pounds.
At one point before the shooting of Batman began he weighed about 110 kg (242.51lbs)! The desperate director was planning to use old scenes from American Psycho because he was too fat. He buffed up in time though, the AP scenes weren't needed...
Pretty funny though, although it must be hell to change your weight like that.
Actually, from that description it sounds really good. I might have to give it a rent sometime and see how I like it.
