Well I wanted to make a video but I seriously don't know how. Where do I get the video in the fist place. I downloaded the windows movie maker but I still don't know how it works. I guess first I would need vidoes so can anybody tell me where I get them and from there how do I edit them and add a song and other clips. Thanks, if not can anybody just tell me how they made theirs?

Umm, it is pretty simple.

There are 3 tracks, video, audio and title overlay. If you want to add music just drag and drop the audio file on to the audio track. Window movie maker doesn't separate the video and the audio of the original video, so if you want to edit out the audio from the original video you might need to do that with some other program. I recommend adobe premiere, but you have to buy it or you can dl it if you know where.

Just play around with it and you will get it. Movie maker is the basic of video editing.

spaking if that where can i get a decent movie maker im willing to buy one since i have made a few AMV's i am ready to take the next step

Movie maker is more easier
it allow you to choose which clip you want and mix it togather

I can't explan at words but open windows movie maker and press F1 for help and you'll find all what you need

I wish if I can do better than this

Fraps is a program for capturing video. google it i belive they have free ones.
Vegas is a program use to edit audio/video, very powerful tool (full version about $1000+)
window movie maker is a good fading/converting tool, it comes with window xp.

these are the tools i used to make video, am still learn, i belive i have learn so little.

what does it do? like can it cut music out of songs? or can it make picture videos? i currently dont know how to fade pictures in different ways, i think vegas could but i couldnt find it.
