Microsoft Anti-Spyware is actually pretty good. It even found some things that Ad-aware didn't.
The Microsoft Antispyware is an interesting little program; it reminds me of Spybot S&D a lot. Some of the early word that I have seen in places like Neowin are positive; hopefully, someone like CNET will have a shootout among Spybot, the Microsoft product, and AdAware.

Spybot S&D isn't that great it only finds like one thing on my computer when i scan it, Adaware catches like 30 things. i think i am going to try that Microsoft anti-spyware beta.
What I'm watching Right Now:
Ok to be fair I give it a shot a few test rund for the next few weeks and see if I still like AdA and Spybot
Tom: Maybe we are a supreme being who was having self identity problems.
Luis: Find yourself a women who loves video games as much as you do and you'll have have problems.
Ad-aware and Spybot are 2 good spyware removers, however what's annoying is that one application will find this amount, and the other, some more... And the problem is, they will scan each others quarantined files/archives, which is annoying.
Yeah me too I Guess it sounds cool lets hope it keeps the spyware down on my PC altho With Firefox I don't get muchOriginally Posted by Phoenix of Love
I got off my lazy ass, downloaded it, and gave it shot. I definitely recommend it. As someone else already said, it found things that AdAware has never found, including 3 trojans.![]()
Perhaps, but this, like all antispyware (and antivirus) programs, is only as good as the databases that it uses to find malware. Tomorrow, it could be possible that Ad-aware will update its database and find stuff that Microsoft won't.Originally Posted by silverskater145
Personally, I had to uninstall it. I started getting memory errors when I closed some programs (esp. Firefox and Symantec Antivirus); after uninstalling the Microsoft Antispyware, those messages stopped.
