Missing bookmarks in firefox 1.0.7?

Alright, this one is strange.

I've been using firefox since the begining--and mozilla before that.

The other day, I checked out the web right before going to bed. No problems there. I put my box to sleep, then went to sleep myself. The next morning, I got up and went to check the weather. Opened firefox, and no bookmarks! Nothing! WTF?

I didn't erase anything, update anything, move anything, or even run any automated stuff. My antivirus is up to date and clean, and no spyware/malware/bots/trojans/etc.

I'm clueless on this one.

Try the usual suspects. Do you have spare hard disk space? Have you tried emptying the browser cache...

On the other hand, the official Firefox 1.5 release is out, and you really should upgrade to the new version, just for the security/bug fixes...

No spare hard drive and the browser cache is emptied and swept (for malware and trojans) every other day. I have completely given up on this one, and besided have since downloaded 1.5

I just wanted to know what happened to prevent furture missing boookmarks. I keep extensive project-oriented bookmarks, and some of them are lost forever.

Oh well, just more searching on the intardweb.
