I would rather visit or attend school there for a semester than live there. I can't speak Japanese, I'm not even really that familiar with their currency. As for cheap anime, thats what ebays for.

Just out of curiosity, have any of you that do want to go ever been through culture shock?
I have. No matter how prepared you think you are it still happens and it's HARD (and I didn't even have to learn another language). Something to consider.
i'd like to go, but it's not really like it's shown in the anime, spread out, wide open spaces, huge buildings (with huge space around them) it's all nothnig like it as far as i know, it's very crowded in most places, thats about all i know, if it were like is is in anime i would say yeah, but otherwise no. Btw, my sister's friend moved to japan, i forget if shes coming back and when if she is... Kara must be having fun over there...
I've always wanted to move to Japan!! I'm like obsessed with its culture and systems.....oh....and you can't 4-get anime!!!!!! :gig: Anyways....yeah...I thought I was the only 14 year old.....kid...in general who was obsessed about moving there......obviously I'm not... :p wich is by the way pretty cool :thumb:
I'd love to visit, but living there is pretty farfetched. First of all, I'm not someone who would take interest in something for a very long time.^^;; Going there during holidays for one or two weeks will be enough to satisfy my curiousity and Japan is notably one of the countries with the highest standards of living as well.
I'd go not for the anime, but rather to visit the shrines and more unique locations. Prefably the more distant ones with nicer scenic views and stuff like that.^_^ Also to try their local specialties of course!XD
i would love to go to japan buy anime manga and games but to live am not sure it's too expensive
hmm. i wouldnt mind vactioning but its WAY to expensive. and also imagine all the pollution with that many people. they actually have centers that you go to so that you can breath fresh air and get the smog out of your system. but getting everything faster than any1 else would be nice =D
Well, If I would live in Japan, I would prefer living in Okinawa, Japan instead of mainland Japan. First of all, Okinawa has American Bases and a lot of american citizens. I just got back from there a couple of days ago, it is a very fun and happening place. I see a lot of U.S. citizens like me in shopping malls and restaurants around Okinawa.
I would prefer Okinawa because it has already been Americanized but it still has that Japanese Culture intact. At least I could have both ways and both cultures in one place!
Anime 4 Lyf! :2thumbs: :thumb: :p
