Um uninstall all messanger on his computer and restart then reinstall that worked for me and I've had every problem you could inflict apon messangers without help ^^
The thing is my friend have msn messenger and can talk and everything but he cant change his name it apears as his email and "(Email Addres Not Verified)". His email is yahoo does that may have something to do with it? and did anyone had this problem before? how can my friend solve it? well those are the questions hope someone can help.

My friend had the same problem, and the solution was verify his e-mail account. But could be a Program bug, if he tryes change on other pc, what happen? If he can change on other PC, and when he goes back to his house is changed, i think is just a program bug... else if he cant change on other pc, its a dB problem, and hell, i think he needs verify his msn account, or just create another one
yes it must be that he didint veifyed his email account cuz I tried on my PC and didnt work in anycase I'll ask him if he verified it already that'll probably help thz ^^

wait hold up guys, there's no need to uninstall, I used my AO email address and I was able to change it in the settings, you just gotta look for it
just go to options, and change you display name
