well...i draw animation all the time you do not need expensive ink at all no you just follow your heart and draw like i do and im very sucsessfull!

to draw manga you don't need an expensive ink nor symbols, just try to finish it and then will see!!!!

1. Yeah, they are just words. Like 'POW' or 'BANG' in stuff like Batman.
2. That depends. Inking work can be done digitally now, so you could probably get away with no ink at all. But I find that plain ordinary Indian Ink is usually a safe enough bet.
