EA's characters in the game will be all new characters (about 12) made by them, so don't expect 007 or John Madden to be fighting.....

Well they don't really have many interesting home made characters anyway... But it does kinda ruin the whole vs. franchise

Yeah, Square specializes in those kinda games. But Namco's only true hit with RPG's is Tales of Symphonia, and Capcom as far as I'm concerned just pick fights with other companies. Namco basically does fighting games too,(Soul Caliber, Dead of Alive for example) and it just seems to make more sense if they were to fight like everyone expects. I think it will end with utter failure. :Thumbd:

Namco doesn't make DOA... That's Tecmo.

I thought Namco made Xenosaga. So obviously they can handle the RPG department.

^ what!?!?!? Goddamnit, I hate when I mix up all those 3rd parties. But no matter how you view it, Namco maybe can hack it, but Capcom can't. I won't work, Fighting games and RPGs were not meant to mix. They're practically opposite concepts!

Actually, remember that capcom made a numerous amount of different styles of games back in the snes and ps1 days, including(my favorites) the legendary beat-em-up(final fight anyone?) and the infamous mega man series. They've also made some good rpgs in their days as well. When it comes to 3-d graphics applying to fighting characters, Capcom may mess up(anyone ever see Street Fighter EX 3? Not the best looking game) so Namco can hopefully take care of the graphics department.
