Naruto on Toonami

tonight (Saturday, September 10)
9:00 PM marks the beginning of the end and the U.S debut of the infamous, ever popular (and somewhat overrated) Naruto
episodes one and two are premiered back to back and then rerunned at 10:00 PM for those who miss the 9:00 showing

okay, here's some info for those that don't know it already
the dubbing's handled by VIZ MEDIA, L.L.C (the company that brought you InuYasha and Zatch Bell)
edited out some stuff like some blood and other things just so it can join the Toonami block
...no more Sexy Ninjutsu/Ninja Centerfold, no more Naruto stabbing himself in the hand, no more cussing...

the english voice-over cast is... okay
we got Quinton Flynn as Iruka who did the voice of Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2 (*shudder*) and Initial D's Shingo Shoji
we got David Lucas/Steven Blum as Zabuza who is better known for his work as Spike (Cowboy Bebop), Darcia (Wolf's Rain), Mugen (Samurai Champloo) and other great characters

we got Yori Lowenthal as Sasuke who did the voice for Haru in Rave Master

...yeah...it ain't that bad... (for the rest CLICK HERE)

go ahead and post your thoughts on this whole subject matter
(please don't say "oh, Naruto kicks ass" cuz we know he does
go worship Naruto's sandals on the other thread)

do think Naruto will take the place of DBZ?

will a new wave of Naruto fan[boys/girls] newbies arise and annoy?

what are you most worried about when it comes to the changes?
personally, I'm worried about the music
if they replace the intro ("Rocks") and the ending ("Wind") with some kind of 4Kids-type pop sing-a-long...

Hate to crush your hopes so soon but here are some trailers with the english voicing cast you can hear. It's not even funny how bad it is.

Both of 'em take a minute or two to load. Alls I gotta say is their pronunciation is terrible, Naruto sounds... horrible... This is as bad as the One Piece Dub.

hearing Raiden's voice coming out of Iruka's mouth is giving me bad flashbacks...

I'll admit, Iruka's voice actor fits in alright. But Naruto sounds hilarious I cannot bear to watch this. I think I'll watch the fansub instead.

hope that they don't screw up the voices or delete a lot of the good scenes....but i'll check it out just to sure...

Oh...That trailer was a little dumb. The narrator is just wrong and Naruto sounds different from what I expected. But anyway, I like the fighting so I'll still watch the Naruto premiere tonight.

I think it will be good. I already know that there are many rabid fans out there, and it would likely gain more.

I also know that there are many fans that is already saying that Naruto is going to be horrible, because of all the edit that might be done like the blood lost and etc. But my friend had told me that she saw blood in an episode; but I still think that fans shouldn't be judging the voice/edits until they seen the dubbed version.
