    Natural disasters where you live?

Where I live we have been getting a plethora of them. 7 years of drought brought on escalating brush fires that hit a historical high. The drought was broken by a record amount of rainfall that resorted in a 100 year flood that wiped out millions of dollars worth of property and widened the riverbed from 60 feet to 600. Now we've hit a hot summer and everything that grew from all the rain has died and we're back to what's looking like a record breaking fire season. (The 4th of July is in a few days as well. Fireworks, yay *sarcasm intended*)

My kids are going nuts from being inside constantly and there's a fine layer of ash on everything.

So I was wondering, what kind of natural disasters are happening where you live?
(I know I'm not alone here.)

That depends on what Avondale you're talking about. If you mean the one in Arizona I'm north of you.
If you mean the Avondale in Missouri or Australia, then no.

We've had 9 fires in the last week. 6 at one time from the lightning storm. We're completly surrounded. You?

Seeing how i'm pretty much smack dab in the middle of Quake county, i've grown used to them already at this point. What with the recent barrage of quakes & aftershocks lately, all i care about now is getting the "big one" over with and get it out of the way already. The suspense is annihilating me damn it.

Where I am at, the worst we worry about are tornadoes, and flash flooding. I live in nebraska which is right in the tornado alley or whatever it's called. No real earthquake threats though we're pretty close to a plate. The storms can be quite intense, and the snowstorms can get us outta school for a few days.
