Sleepless

There we were running
Courtney,Carly,You and I
Running the wind just blowing
The laughter escaped our mouths like the drops of rain escaping the clouds
We could hear the music that never was
The lost chord,
Our hearts beating
Our blood flowing
All in harmony the moment was perfect

Then we arrived at our destination
The pool
It was closed but we snuck in
I jumped in abandoning all reasonable thought
You said I was daring and rebellious
You said you wished you could be like me
We were all wet
We had to get dry
We ran as fast as we could
We found this little jungle gym
And I found a picture perfect view
Then Courtney took pictures of me and you
That was Saturday and I think of it now
Even though I'm not you as I wish I could be
Even though your not me
I think we both were one
Our souls in harmony
And even though I'm not perfect
At that split moment I didn't care
I felt beautiful with just you there
I wish I could tell you how I really feel
But I'm not so out going I fear

If I get brave
I want you to know that I care about you
I worry about you
I'm so glad I met you
I'm just so glad you're here
I want you to never disappear
I want to relive that instant again and again
I want you to be more than just a friend
I have never felt such a way before
You drive me to be me and you fill me with cheer
