"Night Time Under The Stars"
You and me with love in our eyes,
Look at the sky above,
As we lie outside your home.
It’s late and the moon is out,
With the stars in the sky,
Lighting it like day,
Being as the moon is full,
The night sky beautiful,
As I look upward.
“Such A beautiful night”,
I say as we look up.
You can only murmur, “yeah”.
I turn towards you,
And see you lying there.
Your so beautiful,
With a pale blue hue,
Reflecting the light,
Off your face.
The hue only matched in beauty,
By your blue eyes.
Then I place my hand on your chin,
And slightly turn your head to me.
“But it‘s not as beautiful as you.”
I tell you this,
And I see a smile on your face.
“See the moon?
It‘s trying to out glow you,
My love.
It‘s trying to out shine,
The beauty that God put,
Into your face and your eyes.“
You look at me lovingly,
As you see the moon’s light,
In my eyes,
Which seem like,
Two living paintings of the ocean.
I lean in and look you in the eyes.
I slowly begin to kiss your lips,
And you return the favor,
By embracing mine as well.
We kiss each other,
Ever so slowly.
Enjoying every touch of our lips.
Savoring every taste of each other.
I open my eyes,
And see your eyes closed,
Still in disbelief that I am here with you.
I close my eyes again,
As you lean back in for more.
After forever,
We separate and I look you in the eyes.
I see me there…
I know you see yourself in my eyes.
“I can‘t believe you found me.” I say,
As I lay there with you,
With your image burying itself,
A fresh image into my mind.
“I can‘t believe you love me for who I am,
And not for my looks.” You tell me.
You see my smile.
“It’s a plus… and you‘ve already given me,
Everything that I ever wanted….”
She already knows what that is.
The kiss that I received.
That’s all I ever wanted,
Was a kiss from someone I love.
So I turn and lie on my back,
Looking back at the moon…
She hears me whisper…
“Thank You God, for her…”
And we lay there for a while longer…
