No Time To Pray

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.

All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.

No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.

I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.

God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"

Gardening God's Way

Plant three rows of peas:
Peace of mind
Peace of heart
Peace of soul

Plant four rows of squash:
Squash gossip
Squash indifference
Squash grumbling
Squash selfishness

Plant four rows of lettuce:
Lettuce be faithful
Lettuce be kind
Lettuce be obedient
Lettuce really love one another

No garden should be without turnips:
Turnip for meetings
Turnip for service
Turnip to help one another

Water freely with patience and Cultivate with love.
There is abundence in your garden.... Because you reap what you sow.

To conclude our garden, We must have thyme:
Thyme for God
Thyme for study
Thyme for prayer

GOD'S POEM

RESPECTER OF PERSONS, OUR GOD IS NOT
FOR WE ALL CARRY SINS DIRTY SPOTS.
FOR HE SHOWED HIS LOVE TO EVERYONE,
WHEN HE GAVE THE WORLD HIS ONLY SON.

HE GIVES SO MUCH THAT WE CAN SHARE
A BLOOD SACRIFICE, BECAUSE HE CARES.
HE WASHED US CLEAN FROM ALL OUR SINS
NEW BIRTH, NEW LIFE FROM HIM BEGINS.

AND JESUS PAID A COSTLY PRICE,
HE OFFERED HIS LIFE AS THAT BLOOD SACRIFICE.
OBEDIENT HE WAS, OF HIS FATHER'S WILL,
THAT THE WORD OF GOD SHOULD BE FULFILLED.

GOD SAID THAT HIS WORD WILL NEVER DEPART,
FOR HE PLACED HIS WORD IN MAN'S OWN HEART.
SO GO OUT SAINTS AND SPREAD GOD'S WORD,
SO THAT HEALING AND DELIVERENCE CAN OCCURED.

SO LET'S GO AND TEACH THE PEOPLE OF THE EARTH,
ABOUT CHRIST'S LIFE, HIS DEATH AND NEW BIRTH.
TO OBSERVE ALL THE THINGS THAT HE HAS DONE,
THROUGH ONE MAN'S LIFE AND THAT'S HIS ONLY SON.

AND THAT'S WHY!

HE'S GOOD IN MERCY AND GOOD IN GRACE,
HIS PEACE IS SOMETHING WE ALL SHOULD EMBRACE
HE IS MY BUCKLER AND HE'S MY SHEILD,
HE IS THE ARMOUR IN WHICH I'M SEALED.
I WANT TO SEE HIM FACE TO FACE
TO BOW BEFORE GOD'S AMAZING GRACE.
I WANT TO LAY, RIGHT AT HIS FEET,
THAT DAY WHEN JESUS AND I COME TO MEET.
I'D LIKE TO HEAR HIM SAY WELL DONE,
I LIKE TO HEAR THAT FROM GOD'S HOLY SON.
