I had to say
Ive done things
That people judge
But you looked at me
And declared me innocent
Allowed me
To start a new life
A new page
A new day
You helped me out
Of my past
And helped me
Create the beginning
Of my future
Every day
You look to see
To be sure
That I am continuing
The future
You’ve helped me create
You be sure
I don’t look in the past
Because ive already been there
And it didn’t do
Any good
