This is simple, why is everyone griping about the way the person types. It doesn't matter, you got what they were trying to say, why keep pushing about it. They were trying to get help, thats all. Seems some of you should stop being so rude, and remember what the forum is there for in the first place.

I agree this is no place to start making fun of how people type who cares if his typing sucks. all that matters that he is simply trying to get help but anyways darc just practice and you should get better. as for your cd problem yeah windows media player is only used for listening to music not burning it so try going to future shop and asking about a cd burner and then all you have to do is install the software, get a few blank cd's and your're set.

oh and another thing. if your computer is having trouble reading cd's then see if you can go to a computer store and get a cd cleaner then try again if that doesn't work then i don't know what to do

First off you can burn cd's with Windows media player version 10, however points out this is dumb way to do it and very limited. You will need to make sure your CD player is a CD burner as well. The easiest way to tell is to go to "My Computer" and look at the CD drive. If it is a burner it will say something to the effect of CD-RW Drive (D: ). If it just says (D: ) then more than likely you only have a CD drive. If you only have a CD drive go to Best Buy or Circuit CD and have them install one for you. If you do have a CD Burner then it should have come with some burning software which you can install (it may already be installed look in "My Programs" for Roxio or Ahead Nero as these are popular burning providers) I agree with Barronmore:

There are CD-R's and CD+R's and they are not the same thing. If you have an older burner then this could be an issue for you.

If this makes no sense to you do you have a friend that is a tech guru or just savvy? Get him/her to help. Otherwise go to Best Buy or Circuit City they will help.

Although I agree Windows Media Player does not have the best burning program, if it is all they have, and they are not very experienced with cd burning, it might be easiest for them to stick with Windows media player, until they are more comfortable with it before getting better programs.

In my opinion it doesn't get much easier than the nero or roxio wizards. Both of which are easier to use than WMP.
