Orchestra/Band

I wish I was in Orchestra,but stupid me had to screw it up..so yeah now im in band in school
does anyone else play an instrument, oh yeah I play clarinet.

i used to play the sax-o-mo-phone... but i lost all $2000 of it!

I can't play a single instrument
all I can do draw...

I wish I knew how to play a guitar
but I ain't got the time to learn

all I can play is the cord smoke on the water

Do turntables count as an instrument? I really think they should, considering the things me and some of my friends can do with them... People just figure it's there to play a record, but it's hard work man.
When you have to flow from one song into another to keep a steady mix, when you have to adjust your mixboard just to keep the sound correct, so on and so forth, it gets real difficult.

I just got a violin, so I will be learning that.

Definitly. I had a coulpe of DJ roomates once. One was a deep house guy, the other a hiphop guy. All hours of the day I would hear 808 kicks and crabbing.

I play guitar and piano, and took the attitude that DJ's were more presenters than musician.....that is until I tried the techs out myself. It requires timing, touch, and pitch to produce music from those things. The same qualities that are needed when playing any instrument. And most DJ's know more about music than your average music snob.
