Thread: Otakon 2006

Someone I know went this past year (the one we all missed) and said that it was really good this year. Any confirmation on that, Sedka?

There were more activites, like japanese concerts (3 small ones) one of them right before the cosplay, on the stage. She was pretty good. The videos they showed where better then the year before, but I've seen most of them already so..and they cancelled less videos (maybe 2-4 that I noticed).
Of course the limit to the number of people registering was met on Sat and therefore they were not allowing anymore registration. I was mainly interesting in taking pictures and the dealer room. There wasn't much that I wanted in the dealer room this year, unlike last year. But the room was much bigger then the previous year (about 1/3 bigger). They had a 2 to 3 sets of 2 large screens for halo and other shooter games. I noticed less DDR screens then the previous year.
What I did not like was that, before the cosplay, they had the minitokyo panal there and the people were allowed to stay for the cosplay. So if you wanted good seats, you'll have to sit through that panal (which wasn't very good).


Basicly it was better then the previous year but wasn't that much better.
