How about moving the AO central to the top. That way people will see the announcements and such first instead of looking at them last. Also, we need to put a link to the rules somewhere at the top of the main forum page, where people can see it clearly.

Another idea, in the "Statistics - Top 5", make it top 10 and the font a little smaller. We know there will be at least 10 new threads/posts in half a day.

yeah I can swing that, also Katsu lets not talk about the new look as being the "old ao layout" anymore so people will shut up. Its just the new revamped one as far as they are concerned. Cause at the rate they are going I'm going to rip out there spines and beat them to death with em ^_-

Yeah, this also makes it a bit easier to check the staff forum. I can't remember back that far, but was Black Mesa at the top or bottom of the old board?

Another idea, since everyone wants this to look like the old AO so much, maybe rename the forums back to what they used to be, before Spider changed them all. I wouldn't mind this place going back to being called Black Mesa, nostalgia and all that.

Lmao, well i'd say you should change it permanently. They'll eventually get used to it, and it isn't like you're moving the boards to different places or anything.

*Looks at top of staff board* Woohoo, back in Black Mesa, baby! I know it is just a name, but the AO staff forum just isn't the same being called anything else.

On another note, are the images from the old AO copywritten to Ewdi? If you still have the old stuff saved from that version of AO you could just have LK throw those up.

I dont have like the buttons, those topbars were all the images I have, the rest were just screenshots ^_^;

Send me the screenshots and I can get those buttons back for us. Just as long as we're actually allowed to use them, I was trying to get in contact with Ewdi since I occasionally see him on MSN to ask him if it was okay for LK to use a lot of the stuff from the old AO layout. Haven't seen him on yet, though. These are the ones we actually still have, the other ones I can just extract for us:
