    Lol, open mouth insert foot. lol

    No it's not Chinese. It's probably the first Karate movie made in the US outside of Bruce Lee's. Unlike Bruce Lee's movies it was aimed at a young audience (PG) and introduced Karate into mainstream US culture. You could say the modern mainstream Asian influences that are a part of US culture is a direct result from The Karate Kid movies.

    Not Mr. Miyagi! Great... that means in order to remember him, I'll have to watch crappy reruns of the Karate Kid.
