If it won't select it, then dulicate the layer and try again. Then hit ctrl+c to copy, go to the other image, and hit ctrl+v to paste. Now it is it's own layer on top of the original picture.

Newbie | Re: Photoshop help... You can start by messing around with the Creation Box: It is located on the left hand side which allows you to pick any tool that you are interested in using on the project. Your best friends are Filter, Blending Options [Stroke], Blend Mode [scroll down box on Layer Box: Located on the right hand side, all the way at the bottom], ah and what else .. well it may come to my memory. PhotoShop is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Get some nature pictures and place them over each other, about five of them. Then use the scroll down box which is called Blend Mode on each layer/section. You'll notice that it blends well with the front and background layer. Also, mess around with Filter till you get the hang of it, or understand its basics. Well thats my advices from the surface of my knowledge. |

Newbie | Re: Photoshop help... Boarders? There are THOUSANDS of ways that you can place boarders of any kind. Most people would want just "regular" boarders or the Basics. My speciallity -- Create a Layer, then Filter > Render > Clouds/Difference Clouds. Go to Layer Box and right over the Layer that you created; Right Click > Blending Options [There are different ways for you to pull out Blending Options, the other way is you can Double Click on the Layer in the Layer Box] Ah I forgot .. hmm, .. Look for an option called "Fill" and minimize it to zero. There is another option that is just like it called Capacity, but don't touch that. Fill is what you need. Go down to Stroke and click it, and scroll down a box [forgot whats it called] to make it "Inside" not Outside. From there, you can choose a wide varity of different colors, .. You have a boarder. If you are talking about a "single boarder" that crosses horizontially or verticially through the project, then you can just create it from Creation Box. .. Ah I'm tired, let me know if that helps. |
