Aye. If the service is bad, the tip is bad. But if it's good? They get 6 to 5 dollars. I believe a 10 dollar tip is too much.Originally Posted by Arrianna

Here where I live, people give tips, but not when we are at a lunchroom or something like that, at least, not the majority of the peeps. Tipping is more when you're going out for dinner.... and yes, the amount depends on how good the service is, but the big difference is that the waiters and so on don't have te rely much on tipping than in the USA, they get paid very well here and the tips they get are just a little extra.
I do think tipping is a good thing, as a customer it's a way for you to show that you had a good time, that you think the service was good and that you are just one satisfied customer.

Tipping is something that I do out of gratitude, like Arrianna mentioned. If the service is good, they get a better tip, if the service sucks, then they don't get a big tip and sometimes not one at all.
yes, preformance does affect the tip.
In my case, all my friends tip way too much. they tip, [my gosh] like 45% ish or something. thats a bit insane.(especially if they're in a BUFFET!) I say if the whoever is waiting on you actually brings you food or something, you tip.
I have acctually gotten flak from my friends for not tipping like, 20% on people who didn't do a slick of work for me.. I consider them idiotic, and i hope they acctually get something out of doing that. But tipping should be based on how much they work for you.![]()

If the waitress... or waiter... is nice i'll give a $10.00 tip... other wise... a 2 dollar tip is all they'll recieve.

Actually they're lucky to get minumum wage let alone more then that. There is actually a lower minumum wage for servers and their employers only have to pay them more if their tips don't bring it up to the regular minumum wage.Originally Posted by Seshoumaru
