A president with no religion...I don't like the sound of that. The reason why people would like to see that is to see a ruler who is neither sympathetic towards a particular religious calling nor bias in a negative manner in his/her/its decision making. I say that the religious conviction of another should not have an impact on the ruler, or rather, he/she/it should not allow religion to intervene. The ruler SHOULD remain impartial in his judgment and work towards the common good of ALL. That being said, the lack of a religion does not neccessarily mean the person will be a good ruler; Hitler was an anti-semmitist, but look at what he did. Napoleon was an atheist but lacked the morals or compassion to think of others. We should look out for more than just a person's religion such as any ethnic, racial, or personal bias aside from faith.

Dude, there have been plenty of religious presidents, in the sense that they belonged to a religion. Oh, and if there is a president that supports religion, it's our current one.

Uh, it's not 'America'. It's the United States. And that's not why the U.S. sucks.

Religion related issues shouldn't be dealt at a national level. In fact it shouldn't even be a state issue. You can't force an entire nation to be pro-life or to all be straight. It just doesn't happen that way.
Defending your country doesn't mean that your cause for fighting is to defend the people or the government of your nation.
