Grumble Grumble Grumble

When you burn, do you turn on the verify the information option??? Turning this option on will catch most of the coasters you burn...

Re: Problem Burning

I had this happen too, where subtitles get clipped at the bottom of the screen. I'm assuming you are re-encoding the files, since avi, ogm, & mkv are most popular for online anime and not mpeg2. Check the "advanced" settings of your encoding software (i.e. TMPGEnc) and investigate the size. Typical DVD video size would be 720x540 (I think), so you could experiment with reducing those dimensions (remember to reduce by the same ratio or the image will distort). You can output video, say, at 715x536 and the subs might fit. If you're using DVDs, a RW disc can help out (burn a trial, test on TV, encode all the files later). I only know by trial and error, there may be another way to determine "TV safe area" for your subbed video.
