| Newbie | Problem Burning see for example lets say i download and anime and its subbed. ill watch it and w/e but then later on i want to burn it. when i burn it and play it of my dvd player the subbs start to get cut off is there a program i can use to help me fix that. thanx alot ![]() Last edited by SycoMunkeyX; Dec 10, 2005 at 05:11 AM. |

![]() ![]() Credits: 520 | Re: Problem Burning I had this happen too, where subtitles get clipped at the bottom of the screen. I'm assuming you are re-encoding the files, since avi, ogm, & mkv are most popular for online anime and not mpeg2. Check the "advanced" settings of your encoding software (i.e. TMPGEnc) and investigate the size. Typical DVD video size would be 720x540 (I think), so you could experiment with reducing those dimensions (remember to reduce by the same ratio or the image will distort). You can output video, say, at 715x536 and the subs might fit. If you're using DVDs, a RW disc can help out (burn a trial, test on TV, encode all the files later). I only know by trial and error, there may be another way to determine "TV safe area" for your subbed video. |
