humm, I would say cassidy's underground stuff. Now that he is main stream like all artist he has to rap about my girl this and my girl that and make some club hits. But befor that he had some sick punchlines. He is one of the best artist today when It comes to Metaphors, alot of artist are scared to battle him. He killed freeway in the thoes battles
Im half white an half black, and I also like rock too..
I don't like that punchline or metaphor crap. metaphors are ok in my opinion, but too much make it sound kinda lame to me.
I once asked this 18 yr old white guy to battle me, and he said ''Im not wasting my punchlines on you!'' :nono: ... freestyling is supposed to be all in the heat of the moment. lol.
personally, I think people like or don't like rap depending on how they can relate to it or like the sound. I know lotsa white people that would listen to any Jay-z, fabolous, or black rob and be like ''what the F*CK is this CRAP?''
I like almost anything diplomat, not only because I like the sound but I can relate to what they are saying.
Juelz Santana - I'm Ready freestyle
...I'm still on the corner, grinding for them big stacks/big coat, big gat, don't ever forget that/
I remember listening to that shit, then going outside with freinds to do no good an cause trouble in the streets, whilst freestyling in a similiar way. And even tho I basically left that life, I still relate to that desperation for money, the drug game (even tho it sucks and you should leave it as soon as possible), and the thirst for having all the stuff I dreamed of.
now, a suburban white boy would just say ''what the **** is he talking about? what a loser''
of course, he doesn't understand there are people roaming the streets of the concrete jungle miles away, willing to kill anyone just for some food, or sellin some ''white'' to pay for there daughters ransom, etc.
I notice lots of people that say shut the hell up when they hear a rapper sayin something like ''Im gettin so much money, it aint even funny, movin that yay everysingle day''
Awhile ago, the black man had nowhere near the amount of money, let alone rights that the white man had. they are simply standing up and saying what they know and theyre lives and dreams. and they are doing it in there own way.
and ''talking fast'' isn't just something anyone could do, let alone making it all sound nice. rappers are just making music in they're own way, and just because that doesn't include instruments or lyrics talking about breaking up with they're girlfreind and how much they needed them and skateboarding and suicide, does NOT mean it is crap. most rap/hip hop appeals to the black community, but it can appeal to anyone. everyone has there own opinions, and yes I agree to the man who said we should respect everyones opinions.
I'm merely 15 years old, soon to be 16, but I can tell you not just lots of rap, but lots of MUSIC these days are GARBAGE and not what they used to be.
the world is in a state of turmoil, and what has gone from positive has gone to negative, and what used to be a community is now ''f*ck you ni99a i'll kill you''
too many people are corrupt. especially in america with all that media bullsh**,
where music is meant to make money for fat old bastards instead of entertain groups of people.
let me tell you, most drug dealers, assassins, etc. will tell you they dont want to be doing what they are doin, and if they do its to get really rich... iunno.
im done with that stuff, and actually regret saying I can relate to most of the stuff you'll find in a Diplomat track especially if its Juelz Santana. especially at such a young age... but now Im just focusing on my talents.
personally, I like any music with base and usually something real to say.
wether thats Led zeppelin, Billy talent, Snoop dogg, Dipset, Kanye, or what the f*ck ever.
I have more to say, but I forgot..might add more later.
to some, hip hop/rap is a religion, to some its a business. you take it for what you want. thats the point. some people like anal sex, others oral or vaginal. some like vanilla, others enjoy chocolate. WHATEVER FLOATS YOUR BOAT. if some1 likes something you do not, simply IGNORE IT. thats all for now.. :thumb:
gotta love it em got his new cd...and its awesome... buy it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
