    Rebuilding the Internet

"David Clark, who led the development of the internet in the 1970s, is working with the National Science Foundation on a plan for a whole new infrastructure to replace today's global network. The NSF aims to put out a request for proposals in the fall for plans and designs that could lead to what Clark called a 'clean slate' internet architecture. Those designs, Clark said, could be tested on the National LambdaRail, the nationwide optical network that researchers are using to experiment with new networking technologies and applications."

What are your thoughts on this? I think this is awesome...

Sounds great, I think they are making it because all of the "Stuff" that is on the internet today [if you get my drift]
You should stop talking about your dreams, and start making them.

There is something so human in the desire to never give up, while at the same time, never giving it your all?

    Re: Rebuilding the Internet

Hmmm.... interesting. Seems there's two distinct sides: the ones who want a MAJOR, all-at-once change, which could be called a "revolution", and there's the side that wants small, incremental change.

    Sounds familiar? *Hint: Marxism*

    And so history repeats itself...
Maybe I'll come up eith a sig soon... until then, be patient.
