    Question Recommendations anyone?

    So my brothers introduced me to anime as a preteen, but in the ten years or so since then their interest has waned as mine has grown. As a result my method for finding new anime has been reading the backs of the DVDs at best buy, a definite hit or miss method for finding a good series. In the interest of better allocating the limited funds I have for buying anime, i figured I'd ask for advice about what series to look into.

    So far I own (and really love ):
    Fruits Baskets
    Spiral
    DNAngel
    Chrono Crusade
    Scrapped Princess
    Tenchi
    Cardcaptor Sakura
    King of Bandit Jing
    Scryed
    Trigun
    Rurouni Kenshin
    and several others I can't remember

    I've seen and enjoyed (but don't own yet) :
    Fullmetal Alchemist
    Case closed
    Outlaw Star
    Cowboy Bebop
    Wolf's Rain
    Inu Yasha
    Samurai Champloo

    Any recommendations of new series to look at?

    if you haven't seen it, watch it
    oh, try to get the original Japanese Naruto
    but if you can't, just watch the English-dubbed Naruto on Cartoon Network for now
    it ain't that bad....

    Well... if you like Cardcaptor Sakura (based on the CLAMP manga series...) you can try other CLAMP derivied anime series such as...
    Angelic Layer
    Chobits
    and other Magical Girl series such as ...
    Petitie Princess Yucie
    Princess Tutu

    For Shoujo anime series (such as Fruits Basket) there are...
    Fushigi Yugi
    Magical Knight Rayearth (another CLAMP derived series)
    X (TV) (yet another CLAMP derived series)
    Escaflowne (TV series)

    For action adventure series (such as Full Metal Alchemist) there are
    Gundam Seed
    Get Backers
    Full Metal Panic!
    Bubblegum Crisis: Megatokyo 2040

    And Romantic Comedies (such as Tenchi, DNAngle) you could try
    Ah My Goddess (OVA, Movie, and the recently released TV series...)
    Angel Tales
    Love Hina

    have you seen any miyazaki films? if not, you should. i'd go with Nausiica and Tonari No Totoro. (my personal favorites)

    as far as series go, i would definitely go with Chobits and Ah, My Goddess.

    Cowboy bebop,Noir,Hellsing,Initial D and kinda confusing foe most people but also FLCL.
