Thats very ture...BUT Some shows that I think rock that you should watch is R.O.D (read or die) so awesome ness...and Theres always cowboy bebop, Naruto( I read the manga),Inuyasha, ...you know the list will just keep going.Well it depends on what you like ... if you give a short profile of yourself including what anime you have watched already that you like it would help alot ...

Personally, I'm a fan of InuYasha, Full Metal Alchemist, Lupin the 3rd, S-CRY-Ed...Cowboy Bebop is also a good one...

Princess Nine (umm sports/drama?)
You saying Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist aren't real anime? Blasphemy.
For manga, I would reccommend
Yotsuba&! (Comedy)
Great Teacher Onizuka (Dirty humor, small bit of action)
XXXHolic (supernatural)
Midori Days (Comedy, romance)
Hellsing (Horror)
And for anime, if you're up to it, go straight for the goods and grab Elfen Lied, for a great Romance/Comedy/Horror, it's got everything.
My recommendation:
Take some time and read through a few of the 90+ pages in our "what is your favorite anime" thread. If you can't find something there, we don't have any business keeping the thread.
