Well i used this Poem as introduction, but they told me it was uninpropriate and told me i should post it here. Well here it goes:
Life isn’t just about passing on your genes. We can leave behind
much more than just DNA. Through speech, music, literature and
movies... what we’ve seen, heard, felt anger, joy and sorrow
these are the things I will pass on. That’s what I live for.
We need to pass the torch, and let our children red our messy and
sad history by its light.
We have the magic of the digital age to do that with.
The human race will probably come to an end some time, and new
species may rule over this planet. Earth may not be forever, but we
still have the responsibility to leave what trace of life we can.
Building the future and keeping the past alive are one in the same
What do you think?
I agree regarding bringing the past to children, arent we suppose to learn from our mistakes, if our history is masked, then we do not learn therefore we go on making the same mistakes, but from the eyes of a politician, if children new the dark history of there country, would they be so proud, history lessons are used to promote pride and patriotism and all darkness is masked.
your poem is interesting and philosophical, I like it
I'm glad you liked it Kikieru.
In some way you're right. History is and always will be changed to adapt people thoughts. But we are the ones who should learn our children about the lesson we must teach them through our own eyes and believings. We must think about the next generations that will come and therefore leave the right traces so they can follow them up.
I think it's very well written and relays a crucial message. Nice
I like it, keep the good s*** alive
