okay then here's one for us to relax on after a few crazy ones

A man pushing his car stopped outside a hotel. As soon as he got there, he knew he was bankrupt. WHY?

Well... pushing his car suggests that he didn't have enough money for repairs or fuel. And the hotel could have been his, and it was being repossessed?

maybe he tried to charge a room to his credits card(s) and found out he couldn't because they had become overloaded(?), therefore he was bankrupt.

Or maybe the hotel was his, and it made like all of his money, and he got there and found out it was no longer there...

Wait, I remember this XD. My friend was telling me once. He was playing monopoly right, and landed on Mayfair which had someone else's hotel on it or something like that.
