I saw it the weekend it came out and I agree it was a stinker. I wasnt expecting much, but I got in free so I figured why the heck not. I just dont see how people can make a movie PG-13 and still expect the horror of an R rated film, oh yeah no one cares about the actual film quality anymore, only making money.
It's just so sad that it was remade by the original director, much like The Grudge.
I loved the first one thinking that the second wouldn't had been so horrifyingly corny. I mean... Bambi attacks ?!? What in the hell was that about... I liked how he was possession though :D That was interesting... and the whole water suspension deal ....O_o
But ...... it sucked. It wasn't scary, and pretty damn lame. Good thing I saw a mattinet... I would not want to spend $ 8.75 to watch that ... uugghh. Rediculous sequel.
Me and my friends thought it will be scary but nope....I say The Ring 1 was better

I think the movie was funny in a weird sorta way.
Is it really that bad. I mean i hate horror movies (HATE) but on the outside it looks pretty funny. Would my opinion change if i saw it, about it being funny i mean?
I'm not quite sure if this is true, but I heard/read recently that the American version of Ring 2 was intentionally changed up by the director so that it wouldn't be just an Americanized version of the Japanese Ringu 2. He reasoned that some american viewers who may have seen Ringu 2 probably wouldn't want to see a copy of it, so he modified the story. I guess since he was the director of the original, no one was about to second guess him.
Just for the record, I haven't seen the Ring 2. So it makes me wonder, if what I read was true, what will this sequel do to the Ring 0?
Anyways, that's what I heard. I hate spreading unfounded rumors, but I can't help it.
