The Romeo, I wish I could be (poem)
What I wouldn't give to her,
quoting Shakespeare.
To love someone close to me,
and hold her so dear.
"....speak again bright angel,
for thou art as glourious as the night..."
but what i wouldn't give,
for just ONE win this fight.
"With love's wings did I perch these walls..."
just the chance at love for me.
but apparently,
not do be.
So alone...
my life not even set,
saddened like Romeo,
without his Juliet.
"What shall I swear by?"
that be the question I ask.
so what is to become of a man,
behind the shrouded black mask.
"I give thee mine before thou did request..."
love I mean dear lady.
I care for you,
I just wish you loved me.
Romeo said it,
in that Shakespearian Classic.
So just let me love you,
or let me have it.
Love me or kill me,
all you have to say is yes or no,
yes and I live,
no and I die alone.
That day you asked I love,
"O blessed, blessed night!
I am afeared."
I wish I could relive love's blight.
That day I knew,
you cared,
but I need reassurance,
not left unsure and bare.
i care,
more than you'll ever know.
all I want....
is for you to accept this Romeo.
