Do you find yourselves relating, preferring, reflecting in awe of, or jes plain liking the historical (quintessential) stereotypes of the Japanese samurai or the European knight (in shining armor, muda!)? Chivalry vs. Bushido...n all that...

sorry i can't "splain" anything as it ain't a word.
personally i like both, the samurai are in many ways much cooler but have many flaws. the traditional knights are way cool with thei broad and long swords, but they also have problems. i guess i would have to go with samurai, but i still like a bit of knight from time to time.

Definitely Samurai, didn't u see Samurai X when Kenshin beat that German Black Knights?

Anyway Saito Hajime could beat any knight any day. His style relies on priecing the human even if the there is an armour covering it. He just use Getatsu Zero, the one he used on that blind dude with the turtle shell.

So there, Knights will get their asses kicked so hard by the Samurais

    Thanks for the siggy Ky-lyrra

And here was I naively thinking that it would take at least another year for this one or a pirates / ninja version to reappear...

gimme a break man...i jes got here

personally...i think i can feel both of them...

knights, so chivalry states anyway, were sworn to serve god an their lord protect the weak. honor was mostly a pride thing...

Samurai, on the other hand, seemed to take honor as religious thing, an i really feel that... they were suicidal in their service, duh...Samurai = to serve...
    but seppuku was jes nutz...
    owch...

an damnit raverboi, call me out on my slang agin an i swear ta god ill rip into u like u wouldnt beleive...im workin onit, aight? it feels good to me, so fukoff

You should know better by now Hassun. Ninjas and pirates are just too awesome to be left alone for any length of time.

sorry i can't "splain" anything as it ain't a word.

Haha, the irony is killing me.

Hey, I haven't seen a topic about them in a while, if we keep this up maybe, just maybe it will really take a whole year...

    Re: Samurai vs. Knight

How about a Samurai who killed a Knight and stole his armor? Uber-Samurai?
